Disability Awareness

The Disability Awareness Campaign is a community education project that is run in Phnom Penh in the provinces of Kandal, Prey Veng, Svay Rieng and Kratie. Awarness Days are designed to advocate for the tolerance, inclusion and compassion of people living with disabilities. The Campaigns are held at schools, pagodas and other community centers. Both children and adults step on stage to perform plays, sing songs and read there own short stories about disability awareness. These events draw enormous crowds with often nearly every member of the village in attendance. It is typical for there to be over a thousand people, from neigborhing communities, in attendance.
